Augustus Peabody Loring (1856-1938) had an A.B. from Harvard College, 1878 LL.B. from Harvard Law School. In 1881, he studied in the office of Benjamin F. Brooks in Boston and was admitted to the Suffolk Bar, Nov. 1881. Loring married Ellen Gardner, June 3, 1884, and they had three children, Augustus Peabody, Jr., Caleb, Ellen Gardner Vaughan.
